Kent State University International Civic Engagement Scholarship 2020

International Civic Engagement Scholarship is dedicated to broaden our local communities understanding of foreign cultures and engage with members of the international community

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND ELIGIBILITY

• Open to International FRESHMAN that demonstrate excellent academics
• Students must submit examples of past civic engagement or volunteering and public presentation skills, as well as demonstrate an excellent command of English
• Students must give presentations within the community about their home country/culture
• Having a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on US 4.0 scale
• Unconditional Admission to Kent State University as a freshman

APPLICATION PROCESS

• Students must be admitted prior to applying for the scholarship and will need to submit a scholarship application form that includes an essay to be considered for the scholarship.

DEADLINE

• Application deadline Fall semester- April 1st
• Application deadline Spring semester- October 1st

AMOUNT

One-time award ranges from $2,000-$5,000 will be distributed to awardee participating in Kent State civic engagement program.  Awards disbursed in April for Fall and November for Spring.

This is the Kent State Scholarship Application Form for the Global Diversity Scholarship and the Civic Engagement Scholarship.

The applicant must be unconditionally admitted to Kent State University as an international freshman to be considered for these two scholarships. To be eligible, applicants should have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a US 4.0 scale. Graduate students and transfer students are not eligible for these two scholarships.

Application deadline Spring semester- October 1st

AMOUNT
