Handyware Industries Limited Needs a Mechanical Technician

Handyware Industries Limited is an FMCG Manufacturing Company. We are into production of seasoning, flavours, and food ingredients.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Resolve all technical maintenance issues and recommend improvement if required.
• Ensure all downtimes are eliminated or reduced.
• Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or mechanical equipment, appliances, and machinery
• Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Supervising machine operators.
• Installing and performing diagnostics tests on mechanic systems.
• Documenting the machine’s fault for proper preventive maintenance and keeping maintenance or services records
• Training co-workers on the safe and adhering to industry regulations.
• Maintain an efficient and safe working environment for all employees.
• Resolve all maintenance issues and recommend improvements to same if required.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND or Technical Education background is required.
• 3+ years experience as a mechanical engineer in the manufacturing or food and beverage sector.
• Strong knowledge facilities machines and equipment.
• Apt attention to details.
• Excellent morals and work ethics.
• Quick to make sound decisions.
• Apt analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team as well as independently.
