Betty Loughhead Soroptimist Scholarship for Women 2020/21
The Betty Loughhead Soroptimist Scholarship has been established to help women attain further qualifications to advance their careers in business, the professions or the arts. It is a small scholarship intended only to support study, not fully fund it. The amount varies and may be distributed to more than one recipient each year, at the Trustees’ discretion. Available to mature women who are studying for a qualification to enter or re-enter the workforce or to change occupation.

Special Selection Criteria
Preference given to those with a proven record of academic achievement and have commenced a course of study, or are near completion.
The scholarship is restricted to students who are New Zealand citizens.

How to apply..Six (6) copies of the application form should be sent, in hard copy, to the Secretary, at the address given on the application form by Monday 31 August 2020. |
The Trustees have sole discretion to grant awards and will determine in their discretion the award amount and number of successful applicants, and the terms and conditions applying to each award. Recent awards have been in the region of $3,000 – $5,000 (per award).
